Okay, fist and foremost I respect all musicians I am not like the "arrogant guitar player" you've met a thousand times and certainly I am not like "the arrogant lead singer" you've met a hundred fold... I recently received some music from someone I want to work with because I love his style, however for a singer to know what is going on there has of be some sort of structure... Doesn't there? The songs I received are musically sound, but aren't "singer friendly" there is no apparent intro, there is no apparent verse, there is no apparent chorus, and there is no apparent bridge..... Not to say I couldn't sing to them.. I can... And maybe its a taste of my own medicine because I always told musicians to think outside of the box when it came to 4 4 4 4 and they hated me for it... Anyway I still think that in order for a song to be a song it has to repeat somewhere... I sent one of the songs off to someone I respect musically and he seemed to take offense that I laughed at it at first... Which sucked... But what I can say is... I get laughed at all the time.. And I don't care, because I am respected more then I am laughed at, and I am sure so is this guy.. When my lyrics are laying on his music then is it okay to have a sense of humor?
